Knowledge Base

Clear guidance for accounts, designs, products, pricing, proofs, orders, and delivery.

Company Workspace Setup

  1. From Sign In, select Create a company workspace.
  2. Enter the company or organization name, primary account owner, business email, and password.
  3. Sign in with the company-owner account. Artwork4Print opens the Company Workspace dashboard.
  4. Open Customer Access to create or link customer accounts that are authorized to use Artwork4Print under the company workspace.
  5. Each customer signs in with an individual account, keeping customer projects and activity tied to that user while the workspace records company membership.

Administrator Spreadsheet Imports

Products, Shipping and Handling, and Promotion Codes & Discounts support .CSV, .XLSX, and .XLS uploads from their existing Administrator screens.

  • Products: name, slug, category, description, icon, base_price, print_width_mm, print_height_mm, bleed_mm, featured, active.
  • Shipping: name, description, rate_type, rate, minimum_order, maximum_order, per_item_rate, per_kg_rate, delivery_estimate, active, sort_order.
  • Promotions: code, discount_type, discount_value, minimum_order, starts_at, expires_at, active.

Use a header row. CSV and XLSX files are read directly. Excel XML/HTML .XLS files are also supported; very old binary .XLS files may require saving as .XLSX or .CSV when the hosting server does not provide a legacy XLS decoder.

How to Use the Design Studio

  1. Select a product and print side in Product Setup, enter a unique design name, choose a product color, and set the quantity.
  2. Use Text, Shape, or Upload to place content on the canvas. Uploaded artwork may be PNG, JPG, or SVG and must be smaller than 10 MB.
  3. Select an object to move, resize, rotate, recolor, duplicate, or delete it. Undo, redo, zoom, and reset are available in the top toolbar.
  4. Keep important artwork inside the dashed safe print area and use images near 300 DPI for the best printed quality.
  5. Select Save Design while signed in. “Unsaved changes” means the canvas has changed since the most recent save.
  6. Review the project total, then select Accept and Add to Cart. The cart badge updates immediately without refreshing the page.
  7. The status reads Unsaved changes only after the canvas differs from the most recent successful save. Undoing back to the saved state changes it to Saved.

Storage: Saved designs are stored in the MySQL designs table as SVG markup associated with the signed-in customer and are listed in the customer Dashboard. Images uploaded into a canvas are embedded in that saved SVG. Files submitted through Work With A Designer are stored under storage/uploads/designer-requests/{request-id}/; file metadata and SHA-256 integrity hashes are stored in designer_request_files. Direct public directory listing and script execution remain blocked.

Accounts and Sign In

Register with your name, email address, and a secure password. Your email address is your login username. Use the customer dashboard to reopen saved designs and review project activity.

Choosing a Product

Review the product description, starting price, printable dimensions, material, product color, available sides, and production options before entering the Design Studio.

Using the Design Studio

Add text, shapes, and approved image files. Select an object before changing its color, duplicating it, or deleting it. Use undo, redo, zoom, and Reset carefully while editing.

Artwork and Image Quality

Use high-resolution artwork at its final printed size. Raster artwork should generally be 300 DPI. Keep critical content inside the safe zone and extend backgrounds through the required bleed.

Fonts and Text

Review names, dates, phone numbers, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and alignment. Unsupported production fonts may need to be embedded, outlined, or replaced before printing.

Pricing and Quantity

Prices can change according to quantity, product, material, print location, size, finishing, setup, rush service, shipping, taxes, discounts, and customer pricing tier.

Saving a Design

Sign in before saving. Give each design a recognizable name. A saved draft remains associated with your account and can be reviewed from the customer dashboard.

Cart and Checkout

Verify product, design, print side, quantity, price, deadline, shipping address, and notes before checkout. Payment-card details should be handled only by an authorized payment provider.

Proof Approval

A proof is the final opportunity to review placement, spelling, dimensions, orientation, product color, and selected options. Production may begin after approval and applicable payment.

Printed Color

Screens display RGB light while many printing processes use CMYK inks or product-specific color systems. Exact screen-to-print matching cannot always be guaranteed.

Production and Delivery

Delivery estimates include production and transit time. Rush options do not eliminate artwork review, proof approval, payment verification, carrier delays, or circumstances beyond reasonable control.

Support and Revisions

Use the Support Center to describe the product, design, order, deadline, and issue. Do not send payment-card data, passwords, or other unnecessary sensitive information.
